A cloudy day image of the best known (outside of Iceland) Icelandic landmarks. The Höfthi House was formerly the French consulate and later the British consulate. Finally, the British became tired of the resident ghost and sold the building to the city. It's present day fame comes from it's choice as the location for the 1986 Reagan-Gorbachev conference that marked the beginning of the end of the cold war.
