Raptor Ridge Observatory

Upgraded Raptor Ridge Now Operational!

After a long hiatus to remodel our home, take some trips, and build Orion Observatory in New Mexico,
I have sold my interest in Orion and moved my astronomical activities back to the simpler and
easier confines of my backyard Raptor Ridge Observatory.

Rainbow Roll Off

A Rainbow over Raptor Ridge

Raptor Ridge lives in my backyard in Central Oregon.
It is named for the many raptors that can be seen daily soaring on the slopes.
Falcons, Red-Tail Hawks and Bald Eagles are commonly seen.

In addition to my telescope, mount, and camera, it is equipped with
a seeing monitor, cloud/rain monitor, weather station, all-sky camera,
lightning protection, motorized roof, and multiple security cameras.
